Keith Haring "The Political Line" Retrospective Exhibition @ MAM Paris
In association with Le CENTQUATRE and with the support of Citizens of Humanity, the Musée d’Art
In association with Le CENTQUATRE and with the support of Citizens of Humanity, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is exhibiting a vast collection of artwork from the late, great Keith Haring. Known for his incomparable style that straddles the line between the whimsical and symbolic, Keith Haring’s work encompasses a myriad of political messages, often touching on issues of pop culture and religion respectively. In particular, the deconstruction of the AIDS epidemic in the ’80s and nuclear war threats are topics which Haring held close — using the street as a backdrop in delivering provoking work. The exhibition will host 250 pictures on canvas, tarpaulin and from subway walls, which will make this one of the largest presentations of Keith Haring’s work ever.
