Alpina, the German tuner and manufacturer of BMW-based automotive monsters, is back with its latest bruiser, the BMW Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo. Continuing its close, ongoing partnership with BMW, Alpina has taken a standard X3 Xdrive35D and uprated the 3.0-liter diesel engine, giving it 350 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. All this performance doesn’t come at the expense of efficiency as the XD3 will do 0-60 in under five seconds and still get 34 mpg. Aesthetically, the XD3 features Alpina’s signature “Alpina Blue” paintwork and multi-spoke rims as well as two-tone sport seats inside and blue-green contrast stitching throughout. Unfortunately, this storming diesel will only be available through official channels in Europe.
