Following its successful reception in the Middle East, McLaren rolls out fresh photos of the P1 in keen expectation of the upcoming 83rd International Geneva Motor Show. Taken by professional photographer George Williams at the Bahrain International Circuit last month, these pictures do much justice to the stunning luxury sports car.
The interior of the McLaren P1 mimics the soothing cocoon of a jet fighter’s cockpit, with its overhead glass canopy and a deeper-than-wide windscreen for optimal visibility. The lightweight carbon fiber-laden piece manages to pack luxury features including full climate control, satellite navigation, and a bespoke sound system developed with Meridian Audio. Otherwise, the weight-conscious car has adopted carbon fiber for almost everything–its MonoCage chassis and aerodynamically-shaped body panels, the dashboard, floor, headlining, doors, rockers, and the central control unit. Even the top layer of resin has been removed to reduce weight.
Watch out for the final, production-ready McLaren P1 at its global debut in Geneva on Tuesday, March 5.
