Marc by Marc Jacobs unveiled its 2013 fall/winter ready-to-wear collection in New York this week. This collection, which appears to take cues from mid-20th century stylings, seems somewhat of a departure from the brand’s more playful aesthetic. Here, the men’s line is dominated by turtlenecks, slacks, and jackets. The collection as a whole seems to remove itself from contemporary cuts, instead preferring heavy drapery throughout jacket shoulders and exaggerated pant leg inseams. Dark plaids and pinstripes are frequently seen throughout the offering, which will arrive at retailers in the coming months.
