Landing on shelves next week will be Velvet Underground‘s 45th anniversary reissue of the band’s 1968 classic, White Light/White Heat. Releasing as a two-disc as well as a three-disc set, the revitalized compilation will host live material that was recorded at the Gymnasium in New York. Here we have an extensive 19-minute version of Velvet’s live throw down of “Sister Ray” from 1967. You may have to ask your parents or grandparents about this original—or maybe it will simply take some of you back. Ah, nostalgia. Nonetheless, you can stream the live recording below. Velvet Underground’s White Light/White Heat reissue will be here on December 10.
