Trinidad Jame$ Says the South Runs New York Musically

During a Converse Rubber Tracks performance in Brooklyn yesterday, Trinidad Jame$ had a performance and also used the opportunity to speak his mind on several things that have been apparently bothering him. From there, a two-minute rant began, and consisted of what appears to be somewhat of a displeasure with Kendrick Lamar on his claims of being the “King of New York,” while also praising him for his music afterwards. He also starts reminiscing about the days when New York ran hip-hop culture and even talks about Dipset being an early influence for him. But that’s where it all stopped – he then dropped the bomb when he said “We run ya’ll musically” in reference to New York, and also went on to say “any popping rappers from New York, might as well be from Atlanta.” It didn’t stop there, and in closing, he also said NYC had more bloggers than rappers.
