A quick glance at our archive posts reveals a swathe of productions under Remix Artist Collective, also known as RAC. Founded by Andre Allen Anjos, RAC’s seen members come and go, yet Anjos continues to spearhead the moniker, providing hypnotic reworks to household anthems with the help of vintage drum samples, analog synths and moving hooks — sounds that stem from hardware seen in his Music Essentials. Reinterpreting rock, EDM and indie hits with ardent fluency, RAC has released a number of remix EPs under RAC Vol, putting ethereal touches to tracks from the likes of U2, The Gossip, Tokyo Police Club, Theophilus London and Ellie Goulding. Pushing the envelope to his remixing endeavours, RAC released his first original song “Hollywood” featuring Penguin Prison via Green Label Sound, while his second original number “Let Go” with Block Party’s Kele and MNDR soundtracked the summer months. With Interscope backing him, RAC’s yet to release his debut album, and judging by his replete resume, we’re sure it’ll be worth your while.
