Oakley introduces its most technically progressive goggle yet: the Airwave 1.5. Featuring a built-in heads-up display and the same graphics processor as Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD, the design utilizes innovative prism technology to display everything from resort maps and jump analytics to speed, altitude and more – all perceived by the wearer to be on a 14” screen some five feet away, thus preventing the eye from having to refocus. Additional features include built-in WiFi for video streaming from enabled cameras, Apple MFi authentication to provide full Bluetooth bandwidth of the iPhone, and a redeveloped Oakley Airwave app with tons of valuable info. The Oakley Airwave 1.5 will soon be available at Oakley flagships and select Apple stores for £520 GBP (approximately $836 USD).
