Despite being unveiled on a somber note (the plane carrying Vittorio Missoni, his wife and four others, has been missing since January 4th as Venezuelan air and sea rescue continue their search), the Missoni 2013 Fall/Winter 2013 collection brought a standing ovation at the end of the show.
Best known for its knitwear and bright patterns, the Italian fashion house expressed the breadth of its expertise over a wide range of weaves. The relatively subdued color palette drew inspiration from travels across the States that included Alaska, the Grand Canyon, and the Pacific Northwest with muted colors being the name of the game.
