As part of his ongoing #ScreenTests series, Jake Davis places much buzzed-about food personality and writer Eddie Huang in front of his lens. Having made waves with his VICE series as well as his recently released memoir, the straightforward composition of the video shows Huang eating – accompanied by The Charmels’ song “As Long As I’ve Got You” – which many will recognize as the sample used for Wu-Tang’s 1993 hit “C.R.E.A.M.” In Davis’ own words, “The way A$AP Rocky defines this generation in style and music, Eddie has a similar presence in food. It’s in your face, eye grabbing excitement. His style of cuisine is about entertainment… Part hip-hop, part heritage, all street. So of course I had to give you guys his #ScreenTest eating his classic Chairman Bao.”
