While you’re already looking forward to the upcoming music releases in 2013, we want to take a look back to what 2012 had in store for us. Our readers have already voiced their opinion, but now it is our turn to present the list of team HYPETRAK’s favorite full-length efforts. And this year, the choice was not an easy one. Especially this year’s Top 10 could not be much closer together. However, only one can reside on top of lists like this, and in 2012 it was Frank Ocean who reigned supreme with his Channel Orange release. Driven by Frank’s honesty, his profound songwriting abilities, and melodious melange of multiple genres, this album is an exceptional piece that creates an intimate setting which fuses problems and clichés of modern life with the emotive voice of the album’s protagonist – a setting we all can relate to. As for the rest of the list, feel free to discuss and share your thoughts below, but please, keep it civil.
