Urbane sportswear brand AETHER recently unveiled their new flagship store located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. With such an intent focus on sustainability and innovation throughout the brand’s offerings, it wouldn’t take Holmes, nor Watson, to figure that AETHER’s first standalone location would do the same. The store takes the form of a three-story structure composed of recycled shipping crates, cut out and rehashed into a luxuriously contemporary shopping experience, that which includes oak flooring, a glass lounge, and a conveyor belt display system. Leave it to the architectural genie at envelope Architecture + Design and the creative supervision of Thierry Gaugain to produce such an interesting retail space.
