UNDERCOVER 2012 Fall/Winter "Psycho Color" Collection

Jun Takahashi‘s UNDERCOVER “Psycho Color” lookbook for Fall/Winter 2012 was a slightly unsettling collection of unconventional yet seasonally-appropriate hues — mustard, bordeaux, electric blue — and one unhinged-looking model. Despite the title and thematic gimmickry however, the season’s offerings are an assortment of signature, forward-looking UNDERCOVERISM stylings and present-day design references. The label’s graphic tees bear profanity and pop-culture associations, presumably aimed at prompting the wearer to “Think,” as one of the collection’s phrenology-themed shirts implores. Goyard-inspired 3D motifs on a host of leather accessories, contemporary camo-lined outerwear and 8-eyelet boots are also standouts that perhaps require a lesser amount of reflection, but are nevertheless highly-detailed, welcome additions to the cult designer’s body of work. The first delivery of the UNDERCOVER 2012 fall/winter collection items has now arrived at HAVEN.
