Revealed earlier at London’s fashion week, British designer Oliver Spencer previewed what was to be 2012′s fall/winter collection. Getting another look at the collection, we are presented with the corresponding lookbook — an appropriately styled display of the garments over red and blue backgrounds. The collection revisits the early ’70s whilst garnering inspiration from the late German-born British painter, Lucian Freud. Suiting, strong knits and outerwear are aptly prevalent, as warm fabrics such as herringbone blends and wools are the materials of choice for this fall/winter collection. Still opting to make the majority of the items in the UK, the detail and craftsmanship in each Oliver Spencer tailored release is undeniable, from the choice of fabrics, down to the taped seams. The collection also sees winter accessories such as fisherman’s hats, scarves and gloves, to complete the look of a true English gentleman. The complete range is available now and can be found here.
