Inspired by George Mallory’s 1924 attempt to summit Everest – one from which he would never return – the Mallory jacket has been a presence every season since Nigel Cabourn‘s initial “Ascent” collection. The Crazy Mallory is new for the Fall/Winter 2012 Authentic collection and crafted in England from a patchwork of different Harris Tweed-milled fabrics. Other details include leather elbow reinforcements, horn buttons, and Ventile fabric for the shoulders. You can find these now at End Clothing’s web store for £749 GBP (approximately $1,175 USD).
