The 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London have undoubtedly seen more social media coverage than any previous Olympiad. To mark the rise of the platform and its interplay with the Olympics, adidas tapped NASHMONEY to customize a pair of the brand’s adiPower Barricade. A one-off custom project embedded with an Arduino unit alongside an external LCD display and controllable LED lighting, the shoe represents the further intersection of sports and social media in the future. Currently on display at the adidas Media Lounge in London, fans can interact with the creation via Twitter at @adidasbarricade.
