The Art of Making: Alma Flamenco Guitars

Artfully condensed into a three-minute video, the 299 laborious hours needed to construct a flamenco guitar are the subject of “Alma Flamenca,” the latest short film in The Art of Making series. Created by Deep Green Sea, the film features the playing of guitarist Edsart Udo De Haes and highlights the work of Vassilis Lazarides, an artisan who has been building guitars in Greece for more than two decades. With Lazarides demonstrating the work in progress, the sounds of the finished product provide a soundtrack.
