Since bursting onto the scene with last year’s LiveLoveA$AP mixtape, Harlem-bred rapper A$AP Rocky has taken the hip-hop world by the throat, garnering a $3 million USD record deal in the process and, according to The New York Times, “changing New York rap for good.” Filmmakers Luke Monaghan and James Barber have captured Rocky’s meteoric rise with a new documentary film due out later this fall. Featuring various candid and in-concert footage, the documentary includes words from the rapper himself and is set to debut roughly around the time of A$AP Rocky’s highly-anticipated LongLiveA$AP LP. Teased here, the full-length film will premiere on the UK’s Channel4 and online this August.
