Robert Moog's Birthday Celebrated with Google Doodle

Google honors the birthday of electronic music pioneer Bob Moog, who would have turned 78 today with an interactive Google doodle. The digital giant has launched an interactive logo, resembling his famous Moog synthesizer and the Google logo. The synth can be played by clicking on the keys and buttons. You can tweak any of the knobs to shape the wave, change oscillator pitches, play around with the filter or envelope, and more with the numerical values for each appearing above the keyboard. In addition, you can play the notes on your computer keyboard once you’ve clicked a note with your mouse, expanding the sonic possibilities and turning it into a real instrument. You can check it out here.
The founder of Moog Music died in 2005 at the age of 71, after being diagnosed with a brain tumor four months previously.
