Maison Martin Margiela "Replica" Perfume Collection

Set to release this August at select international beauty shops, Maison Martin Margiela presents the “Replica” Perfume Collection. Similar to rolling over and basking in the pillow scent of your departed spouse’s fragrance, the famous fashion house attempts to replicate olfactory memories of times and scents we wish to relive. The collection features three fragrances – one capturing the scent of a Paris “Flower Market” in 2011, another representing a sandy “Beach Walk” along the Corsican shore of Calvi in 1972, and finally the “Funfair Evening” which bottles the warm, sugary air of a 1994 summer night in Santa Monica. Perfume engineers, Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne, continues the “Replica” theme with packaging that’s reminiscent of historic apothecary bottles with labels affixed with scent descriptions. Each fragrance will retail in a 100 ml bottle for €71 EUR (approximately $89 USD), however stateside availability is not expected until next year.
