Inside Line: Acura NSX Roadster from The Avengers

You’d think that a billionaire philanthropist and playboy who moonlights as an ironclad superhero would drive something with a few more zeros attached to the price tag. After all, Acura’s tie-in deal with the upcoming film The Avengers allowed the production team a veritable fleet of exotic vehicles to choose from, but it was a humble 1991 Acura NSX Roadster that was selected. But what this vanilla Roadster lacks in sex appeal, it makes up with sheer supercar potential, in spades. In this cool video from Inside Line Video, you’ll see how the film’s prop designers from GFX transformed the exterior of this run-of-the-mill, early nineties sports car into a fearsome roadster befitting of Tony Stark himself. The interior, however, they left almost entirely intact. Oh, and you can catch The Avengers when it lands in theaters on May 4.
