In an age of outsourced manufacturing, Chris Hughes of the Artifact Bag Company is proud to make his entire vintage-inspired line in his Omaha, Nebraska workshop with his own hand tools and antique industrial equipment. Chris is extremely passionate about the delicate craft and traditions of bagmaking. This video short is proof of that passion, showing him hard at work in his atelier, creating bags that eschew the mentality of “planned obsolescence” in the production of many modern goods.
