For YMC‘s upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection, the brand took inspiration from film and literature of years past for a set of retro-inspired designs that remain ever relevant. The result from the London-based brand is a collection of re-imagined, timeless looks, from outerwear to blazers and loafers. Boasting lightweight cottons, silk and canvas, the line presents summer staples like chinos, colorful sweaters, striped tops and jumpers alongside dresses, skirts and plimsolls. Exuding an independent cool, the pieces recall the late 1960s Cote D’Azur of the Jean Paul Belmondo films, as well as the Milan and Turin of the early 1980s Italian Paninari. The vibrant collection from You Must Create is set to drop in the months ahead via the brand’s own website and their London storefront.
