THIS MUST BE THE PLACE: The Primeburger

The Primeburger is the third video in a unique documentary series of short films by Lost & Found Films, exploring the ideas or places that serve as a concept of ‘home’ for those living in New York City. In the latest episode, the dedicated employees of The Primeburger – a famous midtown Manhattan hamburger institution since the late 1930s – are interviewed effectively shedding light on the history, nostalgia and experiences of their time at the iconic establishment. One of the notable features highlights a waiter who has been working as a waiter since 1952 – a total of 60 years. Dripping with charisma from the old-school hangout, Prime specifically explores the roles and inspirations of the loyal New Yorkers who work there, and how the iconic restaurant represents more than just a workplace, but, in many senses of the word, a home.
