The pomp and circumstance surrounding the Nets’ arrival in Brooklyn is further cemented with artist José Parlá contributing work to the Barclays Center. The 70-foot-long mural entitled A Diary of Brooklyn will be unveiled early next month in the Dean Street lobby and will be visible from the street. While intimate details about the project haven’t been released, Parlá’s work will join the likes of other notable Barclays Center contributors including Mickalene Thomas, Marc Downie, Shelley Eshkar and Paul Kaiser – as well as a 96-by-67-foot Barry McGee mural at the nearby Mark Morris Dance Center.
