Porsche‘s 962 racing first debuted in 1984 and quickly became one of the most dominant cars in motorsports. Ten years later the Porsche 962 saw its last victory in an All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship event. Following its success a number of private individuals attempted to convert the cars to road-going models with varying success, particularly due to the increasingly strict regulations regarding road vehicles. One such individual in Japan was able to get his 962 roadworthy and currently uses it as an everyday car.
