Gianni Lee and Mike Blud, aka Babylon Cartel, first caught the attention of hip-hop enthusiasts with the release of their compiled collection of samples used to create the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album Cruel Summer, and now the duo return with another project where they’ve gathered samples used for Kendrick Lamar‘s debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city. Producers such as Just Blaze, Pharrell and Sounwave all contributed to the instrumentals used on the album, and samples ranged from familiars such as Janet Jackson’s “Anytime, Anyplace” for “Poetic Justice,” to ’70s soulful tunes from Formula IV’s “What’s The World Coming To” for K. Dot’s song “Compton.” You can view the tracklist underneath, and to download the project for your personal libraries, you can do so by clicking here.
