Iconic host of The Tonight Show and well-publicized automobile enthusiast Jay Leno recently made the trip to the Japanese city of Zama in Kanagawa to take a spin in the Nissan Fairlady – better known as the Datsun 240Z. Following some history on the early ’70s sports car and the special Japanese version of the model, Leno had the opportunity to take a look inside the Nissan Technical Center and speak to longtime friend and Nissan’s Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura, about the manufacturer’s 80th anniversary in 2013 and the possible return of the classic automobile. Finally, Leno touches on the celebrated Nissan 370Z and the potential release of its successor for 2014.
