In a unique effort to promote her multimedia release Biophilia, Björk indicated a possibility of performing her latest material during prolonged residences in various cities as opposed to a traditional tour. On this note, Björk has announced a set of Biophilia shows in New York during February and March. These dates are being promoted as a “live show and education series” presented in conjunction with The Creators Project.
Björk will be in New York Hall of Science February 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18, and at Manhattan’s Roseland Ballroom on February 22, 25 and 28, and March 2. The performances will showcase custom made instruments, a 24-piece female choir from Iceland, and an assortment of specially designed performance outfits.
