Acura enthusiasts have long since been clamoring for another NSX supercar to roll off the assembly line. Well, if the preview images of a concept car mean anything, it may not be too long before people get their wish. Two decades ago, the original NSX brought Acura to the pinnacle of performance. Now with an NSX Concept based on the efficiency of hybrid power and all-wheel-drive, they once again show that high-performance is in their DNA. Acura anticipates the new Sport Hybrid SH-AWD will deliver handling performance unmatched by previous AWD systems. In addition to the handling benefits of the Sport Hybrid system, a powerful next-generation VTEC V-6 engine with direct-injection works in concert with a dual clutch transmission with built-in electric motor to create supercar acceleration, while offering outstanding efficiency. Expected to debut in the next three years, the NSX will be developed by an engineering team led by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., and manufactured in Ohio at a yet to be named facility.
