Continuing his marathon tour across the world, socially conscious French artist JR unveils his latest project Inside Out Project: Time is Now, Yalla! named after the Arabic word for “let’s go.” Events are already underway in Palestine and Israel. The artist, who set up photo booths throughout Israel’s Tel Aviv, is gathering personal statements from attendees in exchange for a black and white poster that recipients can paste throughout the city. The attempt is meant to engage the Israeli and Arab world to a move toward bringing about peace to a nation tormented by social injustice. Time is Now, Yalla! will run September 3-11, 2011.
