In case you are not too familiar with Fresno, the Californian city possesses quite the creative energy. Take Sahab for instance, who has recently turned heads with his Scarecrow release back in July. Sahab is of Persian descent and has a very interesting cultural background. He was born in Fresno, CA and spent his early years going back and forth between Fresno and Iran. However, the pressures that the revolution in the country of his parents put on their family and the region in general is what led them to leave.

This cultural mix is surely an important ingredient for his music. Scarecrow offers an intriguing melange of electro dance, hip-hop and pop elements. According to the artist himself, the piece was “honestly an experiment, full of trial n error, with no outside input,” which has become one solid, cohesive effort. Now, Sahab is ready to prepare the world for his upcoming still-untitled new EP. As a little teaser, he shares the clip located above.
