Despite the implications of Sesame Street and Elmo in the lives of many generations of kids growing up, few know the story behind Elmo’s human persona. Being Elmo recounts the story of Elmo’s human controller, Kevin Clash with narration by Whoopi Goldberg. Despite being bullied as a child for his interest in puppet-making, Clash was unwavering in his pursuit of learning the craft. With that, his efforts have become an integral part of cultural development of children from both new and old generations alike. The movie is set to hit theaters on October 21, 2011.
