Volkswagen hocks the 2012 Beetle with an added assist from Shirley Ellis’s “The Clapping Song” in this inventive automotive spot. The ad allows for the quirkiness that is normally attached to the Volkswagen Beetle, but it’s clear that they’re going after the male demographic. Car specs include a stylish, not cute, retro design, with 170 horses under the hood and 22 mpg city/31 mpg highway mileage. It rolls onto showroom floors November 20, 2011.
