BMW has just announced the launch of a new tour designed to take viewers through a virtual exhibition of the 17 automobiles designed as part of its BMW Art Car series. The project features the work of 17 world famous artists from five continents including Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, Jenny Holzer and more. Introduced in 1975 by French race car driver Hervé Poulain, the project has gone from being a series of painted race cars to a key player in raising awareness of alternative and renewable energy sources.
