BMW 1 Series Video

As sheet metal gets torn, robot arms weld, sparks fly and delicate details and polish are applied to what began as the skeleton of an automobile, viewers of this latest BMW 1 Series “making of” video might not be particularly impressed. It’s not that the miracle of car production isn’t fascinating, but rather that almost every car company these days produces similar films showcasing how their wares come down the assembly line. Something is spectacular about this particular video, however: the music. All of the sound components of the hip track backing this piece, a song entitled “Check My Machine,” were created using the car itself. BMW commissioned Munich-based artists Jonas Imbery and Mirko Borsche to produce this unique video and soundtrack. The musical 1 Series clip is not one to be missed.
