Photographer Dean Isidro captures some essential trends for the sweltering urban heat in this editorial, entitled “Summer of Sam,” for the June/July 2011 issue of BlackBook. Models Alexander Beck, Cesar Casier and Joey Regan demonstrate how to stay cool rocking colorful short-sleeved shirts, gingham drawstring pants, sleeveless hoodies, tank tops and suspenders from brands including Prada, Richard Chai, Robert Geller, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Burberry Prorsum. Although the looks aren’t for everybody, simple stylistic lessons about how to pair patterned pieces and loungewear with slightly more formal accessories, tailored shorts and designer kicks can be learned by all from this editorial. The June/July edition of BlackBook is available now at select newsstands and retailers.
