Wale, Meek Mill & Rick Ross featuring J. Cole - Fitted Cap

Over the past few weeks, it seems Rick Ross and his Maybach Music “made men” have been on a mission to take over the hip-hop blogosphere by releasing track after track. While many songs off of the upcoming Self Made Vol. 1 have made their way to the internet during this time, one of the album’s most anticipated and intriguing collaborations made its world premiere today. J. Cole graces this song, entitled “Fitted Cap,” with a verse about how his lifestyle these days is much different than it used to be as a kid when his mom couldn’t afford to buy him Jordans. Wale also takes it back to his streetwear roots by namedropping a slew of sneakers and clothing brands. According to Complex, “This is the official song of the streetwear scene — the sneaker culture to be exact.” Well put. If you’re into Jordans and fitted hats and you need an anthem to play when you get dressed in the morning, this song might be for you.
