In anticipation of his upcoming Impressions cover EP, which will be digitally released this week, Mayer Hawthorne liberates a first audio taste in the shape of the uplifting rendition of ELO’s “Mr. Blue Sky.” The tune certainly sets the mood right for further reinterpretations of songs by Jon Brion, The Isley Brothers and Chromeo.
