Arcade Fire performs with Cyndi Lauper at New Orleans Jazzfest

Anyone who knows a thing or two about New Orleans has probably heard of Jazz Fest and is familiar with how big the week-long event is. On the second to last day of the festival last week, headlining act Arcade Fire was set to perform. To the surprise of fans, the Grammy Award-winning band had plans to make the occasion special by inviting one of their “all-time favorite artists, Cyndi Lauper” on stage to perform a couple of songs. Lauper had a slot of her own at Jazz Fest, but teamed up with Arcade Fire to perform her biggest hit, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” as well as “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains),” which can be found on the Canadian band’s ‘Album of the Year,’ The Suburbs.
