Raphael Saadiq - Coachella 2011 Set

The incomparable Raphael Saadiq has graced the stage at Coachella’s Gobi tent last night. Due to the festival’s tight schedule, he had to compete against Animal Collective – backed up by hyperactive multimedia display across the pitch – and Arcade Fire for the attention of the visitors. However, the soulful crooner turned in an incredible 45-minute set that proved irresistible for the crowd. The experienced showman served up retro soul dotted with horns, keyboard, percussion and guitar. The performance was loaded with selections from his just-released fourth solo disc, Stone Rollin’.
