Brownbook & HYPEBEAST: Karim Bekdache
Earning his education in Paris, Beirut-based Karim Bekdache looked to influence the region’s creative landscape with his own brand of architecture. Starting Karim Bekdache studio, he looks to re-appropriate vintage design through his own eyes.
At the end of 2010, HYPEBEAST undertook an extensive video project with Dubai-based magazine Brownbook. Through a series of short videos, we hoped to document and tell the story of a select few creatives who are helping develop the creativity landscapes of both the Middle East and Northern Africa. Too often, it seems as though these cultures has been viewed through only one particular lens as it offers so much more than what many have been subjected to.
