Originally born in Tokyo, Ryuichi Ogino eventually made the move to the United States to study English and snowboard. Despite graduating with an illustration degree, the artist that now goes by Ogi quickly realized that his passion lies in a different form of art involving an eclectic mix of not only drawings, but paintings and sculptures. In addition to his role as an artist, Ogi has also worked extensively with Japanese bag brand SAG. For his first exhibition in Hong Kong at Above Second, the artist will display some of his fundamental approaches to creativity and examining the relationship of both applied and fine art.
