There is no doubt that the talents of Danger Mouse are in heavy demand. Mixing Jay-Z with The Beatles and backing up Cee Lo Green with a mainstream-friendly sound earned him production credits for the likes of The Black Keys, Broken Bells, Danger Doom and Beck. However, this NYC beatsmith has also a passion project going on with Italian composer Daniele Luppi called Rome. The fairly secretive project took five years to create songs inspired by their shared love of of classic Italian film scores from the 1960s. Capitol Records has confirmed a new U.S. release date of May 17, 2011 for this collaborative effort and sent out a visual teaser that you can watch above.
