Busy P, Ed Banger honcho and Daft Punk’s former manager, has harshly criticized Walt Disney Records for the way the company put together the upcoming remix album of the duo’s TRON: Legacy soundtrack. He further asserts that his former clients had no involvement in the development of TRON: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D which is slated for an April 4 release. In addition, the selection of producers stems from calculated marketing tactics rather than actual musicality. Belgian group Goose was reportedly rejected by Disney for the compilation:
“A masterpiece like Tron:Legacy soundtrack deserved the best and I am sad to discover the A&R at Disney is apparently buying most of his electronic music in airports stores. Goose’s contribution should have been the kind of great re-interpretation of Daft Punk’s music featured on this compilation.”
