Trussardi celebrates its centennial anniversary with a series of special collaborations this year, one of the highlights being this cooperation with BMW Italy. Known for its distinct range of luxury leather goods, the Italian brand finds inspiration from those very same aesthetics as the 5-Series Gran Turismo sees bespoke styling within the exterior and interior, anchored by a custom warm metallic brown that wraps the car beautifully. Additional exterior features include double kidney grilles, window line decorations in the same color as the body, 20-inch alloy wheels in dark matte grey and Trussardi’s coat of arms on the front fenders. The interior is where the vehicle really shines as it receives a classy leather treatment with a caned motif inspired Trussardi’s glove series, while its iconic logo comes embossed on the headrests and center tunnel. Several different options in engines will be offered with the project, including two petrol and two diesel engines, all of which can be equipped with BMW’s all-wheel drive system. The engine range includes a 3.0-liter turbo diesel with 245 hp (530d) or 300 hp (535d), a 3.0-liter turbocharged petrol with 306 hp (535i) and a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged petrol with 407 hp (550i). The cars will be built as custom orders with each taking approximately six weeks to complete. Pricing has not been announced, although one can only imagine the hike it will take from the original 5-Series GT base price.
