Rumors have been circulating for some time now regarding 53-year-old pop legend Madonna and her performing for Super Bowl XLVI. All speculation can now be put to rest as NBC reveled just last night that the versatile artist will in fact be headlining the halftime show on February 5. The showing will account for Madonna’s debut Super Bowl appearance, as it is slated to be one for the books.

“Madonna has partnered with a creative team from Cirque du Soleil, Jamie King, and multimedia artists from Moment Factory, to create a signature performance for the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show.”
