Brendan Mitchell, managing director and co-founder of one of Melbourne’s coolest new stores Up There, recently gave us his eclectic set of essentials. His general interests include retail and hospitality, as well as footwear – something he has worked in since finishing high school. Up There opened in September 2010 along with two business partners, and stocks heritage brands like Yuketen as well as high-end streetwear labels such as Norse Projects. Among his essentials is an awesome camo bag from Yuketen, as well as the ubiquitous fashion accessory iPhone 4. And while one essential is a Gilbert Rugby Union Ball, Mitchell is a big fan of the Boston Celtics, and told us he is glad that the NBA is back and life is finally normal again.
