Back in July, the Black Eyed Peas announced their plan to take hiatus from recording as a group in order to focus on other projects. The quartet has now stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to officially explain their intentions behind this decision. Frontman will.i.am, who will release his solo album #willpower next year, says:
“When we take breaks, we work on side projects or get our little personal stuff in order to then come back and make beautiful music.”
The band will play their final show before their hiatus tonight at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Mind you, this is a break not a breakup.
