Damien Hirst Retrospective @ Tate Modern Preview
Damian Hirst’s platinum and diamond skull, a notorious and expensive piece, will go on show at Tate

Damian Hirst’s platinum and diamond skull, a notorious and expensive piece, will go on show at Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall next year, in the first survey show devoted to the artist in the UK. While Hirst has had successful shows ranging from Florence to Monaco, this will surely be a treat for UK purveyors of art. Over 70 pieces, a number of them room-size installations, will come to Tate Modern from April to September next year. With a great deal of the work in the exhibition made familiar by media exposure, the organizers claim the show will give visitors a fresh perspective. Stay tuned for future details.
